International Journalistic Goldn Fern Contest from Ukrainian vodka company Nemiroff
L'Optimum Award & Klitschko Party in Moscow.
On May 17, 2004 a festive gala ceremony was held for presenting special awards from the magazine L'OPTIMUM for the nomination "For special achievements for creating image in sports" took place in Moscow in the Atrium concert hall in the Balchug Kempinsky hotel. Famous sportsmen, who are not only true professionals in this sphere, but also very interesting personalities, were the award's nominees. Nemiroff was an official partner of this ceremony, and as official participants for this event, Vitaly and Volodymyr Klitschko were invited.
The award was presented to:
Vitaly Klitschko
WBC super heavyweight champion (the most prestigious version in professional boxing);
Volodymyr Klitschko
Former WBO champion, currently rated third on the list of professional boxers;
Viktor Tikhonov
Senior coach of the Russian National Ice Hockey Team, chairman of the hockey coaching council of Russia, honored master of sports, honored coach of the USSR, Russia and Latvia;
Viktor Kuzkin
Honored master of sports, three-time Olympic champion, eight-time Olympic champion, seven-time European champion, thirteen-time champion of the USSR, captain of the legendary National USSR hockey team;
Alexander Yakushev
Two-time Olympic champion, seven-time world champion, three-time USSR champion (within the composition of Moscow Spartak), honored master of sports, honored coach of Russia;
Anastasia Davydova and Anastasia Ermakova
Three-time world champions of synchronous swimming, five-time European champions, who won two gold medals at the last championship in Spain in the composition of a duet and group, honored masters of sports.
The Award - Cups with the memorial inscription L'OPTIMUM AWARD 2004 - was presented by Vladimir Pomukchinsky, the editor-in-chief of L'OPTIMUM magazine. The event was emceed by Alexander Prianikov. Variety performers of the "Fabrika Zvezd-4" (Star Factory-4) project Irina Dubtsova and Stanislav Piyeha performed on the stage of the Atrium concert hall.
