On August 5, 2004, thanks to Nemiroff's support, a unique project, "around the world in 80 days" was started - a tour of the world on motorcycle. The main heroes and candidates for establishing a new record in CIS countries for travelling distances on motorcycles - Roman Martynyuk, master of sports in motorcycle tourism and Serhiy Dzyuba, a Novy Kanal (New Channel) TV journalist. The partners planned to travel 40,000 km on one motorcycle, crossing Europe to Portugal, and then to Morocco, Mexico, the U.S., Canada, China, Iran, countries of Central Asia…
In reality, the motor rally around the "small globe" lasted 72 days, and they went 46,000 km in general on the motorcycle, "Rocket Futong".
Already on the road, due to complicated weather conditions, Roman and Serhiy had to change the course due, and probably most dramatically, they chose China instead of Alaska - the boys thought that they would avoid traveling on snowy roads. But in China the Ukrainian travelers faced unexpected and practically insurmountable obstacles: literally, on the eve of their arrival this country introduced an embargo on the import of second-hand technical equipment. In this way, the boys' motorcycle had received a "residency permit" there, from where they arrived in China - Canada. It appears that travelling through China is possible only with special authorization and if accompanied by a representative of the governmental authorities. In this situation, Roman Martynyuk decided to buy a new motorcycle in order to continue the tour, while Serhiy Dzyuba took a train and came back to his native Kyiv.
The result of this super project was a new CIS record on traveling distances on motorcycle. And, most of all, during this tour the motorcycle was decorated with three flags - of Ukraine, the emblem of Novy Kanal, and the flag of Nemiroff. And to every country they traveled they brought with them the philosophy of real Ukrainians, who fear no hardships, and whose spirit is firm and strong, just like Nemiroff products.
